PRE-LAUNCH UPDATE 03
Journal number three… What a time. Just came home from Denmark – had a very efficient and relaxing trip!
I’ve been busy coordinating everything from package design, shipping, website layout, to bookkeeping, product pricing and legal matters. It’s been a very giving experience so far. I feel lucky, and I’m thankful to have people around me who can – and have – helped me in various things.
My dear friend Joar Jernström is helping me set up bookkeeping and product pricing templates. He’s also excellent at explaining and boiling down 101s of business and tax-related stuff.
Olli Karvonen, is helping me with technicalities regarding this website, web-hosting, official email addresses, etc. We are currently working on the final touches, and I’m getting excited about publishing the website soon. I’m just excited to get things out there. It’s quite impossible to have everything “perfect” from the beginning, so I need to see this as a work in progress and a learning curve.
I feel like I’ve been a little cautious about mentioning this launch to people, mainly due to uncertainty regarding timelines. Everything is moving pretty fast, and I have set a tight schedule for myself and for the others helping me.
We experienced a little hiccup in the production, but we solved it quickly. As I mentioned in my last post, I was supposed to pick up the products on the 11th, but Denmark experienced the worst winter in decades, so we had to organize shipping to Finland instead. As of now, I’m waiting to see where the products have landed, and I’m hoping to receive them soon.
I ordered the shipping boxes and product packaging a few days ago, so that’s good! I also bought a bunch of props for the photoshoot: textiles, candle holders, steel plates, ceramics, dishes, office accessories, and so on. I decided to order a custom ALVAR SAKARI text logo stamp to complement my existing icon stamp that I got earlier last year.
I have a lot of fun things to look forward to and many pieces of the puzzle being shipped. I can’t wait to see what I receive! I also can’t wait to start posting teasers and BTS material on Instagram and TikTok.
